Safeguarding

Safeguarding and promoting children's welfare is a big part of our statutory responsibilities set out in the requirements for our Ofsted registration.

The EYFS states 'Children learn best when they are healthy, safe and secure, when their individual needs are met, and when they have positive relationships with the adults caring for them.'

To ensure we achieve the best for every child in our setting, we put in place a number of safeguarding policies and practices.

Safeguarding children

By looking after children's welfare and ensuring we provide a safe environment

Ensuring suitability of the team

By employing a robust safer recuitment practice and procedures

Promoting healthly eating

Through our planned activities, snacks and education on healthy packed lunches

Managing behaviour and emotions

By working with parents, encouraging children to play and through planned adult led activities.

Maintaining records and policies

Ensure all government policies, procedures and practices are strictly followed

Governance and protocols

Implementation of childcare best practices and on-going staff training and development
